NARAL, Emily’s List & PPNNE Action Fund Support Ann McLane Kuster

Ann McLane Kuster Concludes her remarks to the media.

Ann McLane Kuster was joined yesterday at the Legislative Office Building by Ellen Malcolm, founder of EMILY’s List, Pilar Olivo, interim Executive Director of NARAL Pro-Choice New Hampshire, and Steve Trombley, President and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Northern New England.

The Democrat from Hopkinton is the only candidate in the 2nd District race who has consistently supported abortion rights.

Planned Parenthood had formally endorsed Ann McLane Kuster in May.

“The voters in New Hampshire’s Second Congressional District are looking for a champion of women’s health,” said Steve Trombley, president/CEO of the Planned Parenthood of Northern New England Action Fund. “Ann McLane Kuster is that candidate. She will stand up for women and families and put commonsense health care needs ahead of ideology and politics.”

As a U.S. representative, McLane Kuster will work to improve access to quality health care for women, support and protect a woman’s right to choose, strengthen comprehensive sex education to keep our young people healthy and safe, and invest in prevention programs, including family planning services and breast cancer screenings.

McLane Kuster is the only candidate with a 100 percent pro-choice and pro-women’s health rating. Her opponent, Katrina Swett, has spoken out in favor of restrictions on women’s reproductive health and has a mixed rating on women’s health issues.

Kuster’s opponent has yet to return the candidate questionnaire sent out by Planned Parenthood’s political arm.

Ellen Malcom, Founder of Emily’s List, traveled from Washington D.C. to address the audience and press corps to speak to Kuster’s impeccable pro-choice record.
